Thank you for considering a visit to Parksville, BC and to the 2020 Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition

What you need to know...

The Sculpting Competition will begin with "pound up" on Thursday, July 9th, 2020 when the competitors prepare their sites for the competition and the competition will continue until 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 12th. Judging begins immediately following and at approx. 5:30 pm there is an awards ceremony at the site where the prizes are distributed.

The sculptures will stay on display until Sunday, August 16th at 8:30pm. Visitors are welcome at the site starting Friday, July 10th at 2:00 pm. The site will remain open daily until 8:30pm. [A recommended donation at the gate is $4.00 per person]


This event is held at the Community Park in Parksville which is located on the ocean side of Hwy 19A (exit 46), on Corfield Road in the center of town.
Washrooms and showers are available in the park, as well as a couple of food vendors. There are also many local restaurants within walking distance of the park. The park includes a long strip of sandy beach area and the Lions Adventure Play and Water Park for the young members of the family.
There is parking available on site but arrive early as it usually fills up by noon. During the competition weekend there is a suggested donation for parking, with proceeds going to the Parksville Curling Club.
