Parksville Beach Festival Society’s goal is to offer the facility to the community at reasonable rental rates while also raising sufficient funds to cover the operational costs of the facility.

Note: Rental rate includes a facility manager onsite during the entire rental period. Setup and teardown time will be counted as rental hours. Rates subject to applicable taxes.
The in-house sound system may only be operated by qualified technicians supplied by the Parksville Beach Festival Society. Technician wages will be the full responsibility of the renter. Technician quotes based on the requirements of the renter will be provided as part of the rental contract. If additional equipment is required over and above what is listed below it shall be the sole responsibility of the renter to pay the rental fee (ie: on stage monitor console). A 10% administration/processing fee will be added to the equipment rental and sound technician wages.
Renters are welcome to bring in their own sound or lighting; however, we also offer the option of renting our state-of-the-art system which includes the following equipment:
- Allen and Heath SQ 6 – 48 channel 96k FOH console
- 2- Allen &Heath DX168 16 input 8 output 96k Stage boxes
- 12 – flown Db DVA T8 Line Array speakers and 1 DVA T8 Line Array front fill speaker
- 2- Yamaha 12” bi-amped two-way speakers w/rotatable horn
- 6- Db Technologies 18″ 1800w Active Subwoofers with RDNET Control
- 4 – 12” coaxial powered wedge monitors (1000w) 2-15” JBL monitors
- All vocal and instrument microphones, stands, and all associated cabling

Conditions of rental
Theatre events that attract an audience and will require use of the Performance Venue Area must obtain a City of Parkville Theatre Event Permit. The Beach Festival Society will assist renters in the completion of the event permit. A $500 damage deposit payable to the City of Parksville must accompany the event permit application. Following the event, the deposit will be returned if no damage occurred.
All renters must carry a minimum of $2 million liability insurance. The applicant must obtain and provide a copy of valid comprehensive general liability insurance protecting the City of Parksville and the Parksville Beach Festival Society against liability for bodily injury, death, or property damage, arising out of the event.
Minimum limit of $2 million commercial general liability insurance against third-party claims for bodily injury, death, property, and loss of use. Note: a higher limit of liability insurance might be required depending on event-specific details (such as traffic impacts, attendance numbers, length of event). Events which include the serving of alcohol must carry a minimum $5 million in general liability insurance and must also apply to the City of Parksville for a beer garden permit. Maximum deductible of $5,000 per occurrence, with cross liability clause.
Portable Washrooms
3 regular and 1 accessible portable washroom will be supplied with each rental however renters will be responsible to pay a rental and cleaning charge these washrooms. Rates will be identified in advance of the event and form part of the contract. Any additional washrooms required will be the full responsibility of the renter. (Note: It is recommended that 1 washroom be supplied for every 100 people in attendance.)
The beautiful park setting combined with a world class facility, top quality sound equipment and technicians, an area that can hold several thousand people and an available box office to sell tickets make this an outstanding venue to host ticketed events. Six-foot high fencing complete with privacy screening can be installed around the perimeter of the concert venue. The fence cost, including installation and removal, is $1 per ticket sold with a minimum charge of $660 and maximum charge of $1,200.
