2019 Sand Sculpting Theme - Community Votes Requested!Parksville, BC: The Parksville Beach Festival Society is actively planning the 2019 Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition. Set to run July 12 through August 18 alongside Parksville's magnificent beach, the sand sculptures will feature a specific theme and the public can help choose that theme.
"The master sand sculptors appreciate design guidelines and aim to please our visitors", says Wendy Sears, Event Manager. The community can visit parksvillebeachfest.ca/theme-voting and vote for their favourite theme from a choice of three: "Myths & Legends", "Planes, Trains, Automobiles" or "Carnival". Also, title sponsor Quality Foods, will provide customers with the opportunity to vote in-person at their Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Nanoose Bay stores between January 21 and February 17.
Cheryl Dill, President of the Beach Festival Society is pleased with how the 2019 plans are coming along. "Our creative directors and event managers are discussing fresh ideas for the five-week-long event. We value public input to help design the events for Beach Festival", comments Dill.
Themes from the previous years were "Wild Things – from here to the Galapagos", "Canada One-Five-Oh", "Things with Wings", "Heroes and Villains", "A Celebration of Music" and "Fairy-tales".
International sculptor recruitment and sponsorship is the main focus at present. The Society will reveal more details later this Spring. For more information visit www.parksvillebeachfest.ca or email email@example.com.
