Art in the Park is a two-day arts and craft fair taking place in the gardens around the tennis courts in the park. Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, photography, art cards, children’s clothing, art glass and more will be available.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket to the Picnic Shelter at the Parksville Community Park and enjoy this free concert brought to you by Tim Hortons. Be sure to stop in to visit our Sand Sculpture Exhibition and view incredible works of art made from just sand and water.

Glen Foster singer, songwriter, guitarist, performs solo and with several bands including Glen Foster Group which was formed in 2009. Playing finger-picking acoustic and various styles of electric guitar, 6 albums have been produced as well as several EPs and singles. Living on Vancouver Island in western Canada the band plays pubs, dances, festivals, fairs, concerts and special events delivering well-crafted lyrical songs with either acoustic rhythms or hard driving, electrifying rock and roll. The latest recording project entitled Music Alchemy is an experimental Rhythm and Blues album incorporating brass and woodwind instruments with a strong, tight rhythm section and colourful lyrics. Singles released include ‘Crashing Down’, ‘Cactus Whiskey and Alligator Steak’ and 'Why InThe World'.

For those who didn’t get a chance to attend the competition the sculptures will remain in place until August 18th. Exhibition hours are from 9am to 9pm daily. Vote for your favourite sculpture over the 5-week exhibition! Admission is by suggested donation of $4.00 per person. A portion of the gate proceeds is donated back to our community.
