Bring your lawn chair or blanket to the Picnic Shelter at the Parksville Community Park and enjoy this free concert brought to you by Tim Hortons. Be sure to stop in to visit our Sand Sculpture Exhibition and view incredible works of art made from just sand and water.

The band members are: Kenny Shaw on guitar and vocals, Brian Temple on Bass and vocals, Bill Cymbala on drums and vocals, Rob Petrie on keys and vocals, and Rachel Fuller on saxophone. The band reproduces with warmth and accuracy the harmonies and nuances of the greatest rock and roll groups of the 50s, 60s and 70s.
The top hits that Babyboomers everywhere will love forever. "Dance the night away and sing along to the hits that you grew up with."

Kite enthusiasts from far and wide will gather in Parksville Community Park, July 20 and 21 for the Parksville Lions International Kite Festival. There will be food concessions, vendors and a wide variety of kite experts teaching people how to build and fly kites. There will be kite flying demonstrations, kite building and the ever-popular Teddy Bear Drop.

For those who didnít get a chance to attend the competition the sculptures will remain in place until August 18th. Exhibition hours are from 9am to 9pm daily. Vote for your favourite sculpture over the 5-week exhibition! Admission is by suggested donation of $4.00 per person. A portion of the gate proceeds is donated back to our community.
